Reusable cups are rarely bought for the cup. They are bought because single-use plastic is banned, or because a deposit system removes litter, or because a sponsor wants their artwork in ten thousand hands for a weekend. All three of those depend on the same object: a cheap, stackable, washable polypropylene cup that survives being dropped on tarmac.

Single-wall polypropylene, moulded in Europe, certified BPA-free and fully recyclable. Light enough to carry a stack of twenty, sturdy enough for a bar surface at two in the morning, and shaped to nest tightly so a pallet holds a useful number.

One size across a site is easier to manage than three: one deposit value, one stack height, one wash cycle, one order. Add a second size only if the drinks menu genuinely needs it.

The deposit does most of the work, but the rest is physical: a guest holding a cup, a phone and a plate will put the cup down, and a cup put down is a cup lost. Two accessories change the return rate more than anything printed on the cup — a cup holder lanyard or a clip that hangs the cup at chest height, and cups with a moulded lanyard hook that need no accessory at all.
For outdoor events, silicone lids keep insects and rain out of a drink that someone paid a deposit to keep hold of.
500 ml is the safe default and the standard pour. If you serve draught beer, 550 ml is the correct choice because half a litre plus head does not fit in a 500 ml cup. 300 ml suits soft drinks and wine, 900 ml and 1,2 l are for shared serves and stein-style events. Running one size across the whole site keeps the deposit system simple.
Dozens of commercial wash cycles. In practice the limiting factor is not the cup but the return rate — cups that leave the site never come back to be washed. A deposit plus a way for guests to carry the cup hands-free is what actually determines how many times each cup is used.
Three things: a unit price low enough that the deposit covers it, a shape that stacks tightly for storage and transport, and a print that survives washing. All three are why PP cups became the standard rather than anything more elaborate.
Yes, in two ways. A 360° digital wrap prints photographic artwork around the entire cup, with no colour limit — festival line-ups, sponsor blocks and gradients all reproduce. For a cup that will be washed and reissued for years, in-mould labelling fuses the same full-colour artwork into the cup wall so it cannot scratch or wear off; it needs 1 000 pieces and costs more per cup, and it is a separate product line.
Yes, PP handles standard commercial wash programmes. Stay within the machine’s normal cycle: prolonged very high heat can distort the rim over many washes, which affects stacking more than it affects the cup.
250 pieces for one-colour print. Full-colour 360° wrap runs typically start higher because the setup is per design rather than per colour. Real price breaks arrive at 5 000 and again at 20 000, which is where most festival orders sit.
