Every bar, distillery and drinks brand ends up ordering shot glasses, and almost all of them buy real glass, break a third of them, and buy again. There is a version of this product that solves that, and a version that does not need to.
A standard shot glass takes one or two flat printed colours. The sublimation-coated version takes a dye-sublimated image: photographs, gradients, full artwork wrapped around the body. For a spirits brand launching a limited edition, or a festival selling merchandise, that is the difference between a branded object and a designed one.
Distilleries and craft spirits producers, as a gift with purchase and a tasting-room item. Bars and nightclubs, as branded service ware that also walks out of the door as advertising. Festivals and beer events. Corporate hospitality and Christmas gifting, usually in sets of two or four in a printed box.
Plastic for anywhere a dropped glass is a problem — festivals, stadiums, outdoor bars, pool areas, and any venue with a glass ban. Frosted real glass for retail products, distillery gifting and corporate presents, where weight and the sound it makes on a table are part of the point.
It has a coating that accepts dye-sublimation printing, which means photographic artwork, gradients and full-colour designs wrap around the glass instead of being limited to one or two flat colours. It is the right choice for limited editions, artwork-led brands and anything where the design matters more than the unit price.
It depends on the market. 28 ml is a short measure common in Northern Europe, 44 ml is the standard bar shot across much of the continent, and 50 ml is the generous pour used for spirits gifting and tasting sets. If in doubt, 44 ml is the safe default.
Yes. The plastic versions handle commercial wash cycles; the frosted glass version washes like ordinary glassware. As with all printed drinkware, the print rather than the vessel determines how aggressive a programme you should use.
The version that lights up and hangs round the neck: LED shot glass with lanyard. For the rest of the bar: reusable event cups and unbreakable wine glasses. Presentation: velvet gift boxes.
