Most lanyards are bought to hold a badge. These are bought to be noticed. Everything on this page uses a production step that ordinary screen printing does not have — a hot stamp, a foaming ink, an applied silicone layer, a fur backing — and every one of them exists because someone needed a lanyard that did not look like the ones at the last event.
They are gathered here because the choice between them is a finish decision made once, not a set of separate products. The base strap is usually the same 90 cm polyester underneath.
| Finalizar | How it is made | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Metallic foil stamp | Gold or silver foil hot-pressed into the ribbon | Award nights, galas, VIP tiers. Formal and highly reflective under venue lighting. |
| Holographic laser foil | Iridescent foil, same hot-stamp process | Colour-shifting rainbow effect under flash. The most photogenic option, best on black satin. |
| Glitter overlay | High-shine glitter material laid over a polyester base | Galas, festivals and celebrations. Reads as VIP at a glance in dim rooms. |
| Brilla en la oscuridad | Phosphorescent screen printing ink | Night events and club nights. Charges under light, glows green in darkness. |
| Puff foam print | Foaming ink that rises during curing | Soft, rounded 3D relief. Bold block logos, sports and motor brands. |
| High-density 3D print | Thick, sharp-edged raised ink | The tactile and accessibility option — the only finish here that carries readable Braille. |
| Raised silicone logo | Silicone layer applied on top of the printed strap | Rubbery, durable, distinctly premium. Tech conferences and corporate use. |
| Faux fur | Tubular fur strap, or fur sewn to the back of a normal strap | Winter sports, ski passes, fashion collaborations. Branded with a woven label or patch. |
The eight finishes fall into three families, and knowing which family you are in decides most of the cost.
| Family | Finishes | Cost driver |
|---|---|---|
| Stamped | Metallic foil, holographic | A stamping die per design. Crisp mirror finish no ink can imitate. |
| Raised | Puff, high-density, silicone | Extra curing or application step. You can feel the logo with a thumb. |
| Material | Glitter, glow, faux fur | The strap itself is different, so the cost is in metres rather than in setup. |
Holographic laser foil, by a distance. It reads as metallic silver in low light and breaks into rainbow gradients under a camera flash, which is why it is the usual choice for events that expect a lot of social media. Print it on a black or dark navy satin strap: the smooth dark surface is what makes the effect pop.
Both are hot-stamped rather than printed, so both give a crisp mirror finish that ink cannot. Foil is a single metallic colour, usually gold or silver, and reads as formal. Holographic foil is iridescent and shifts colour with the light, which reads as playful. Same process, opposite tone.
Both raise the logo off the fabric with a foaming or thickened ink. Puff print gives a soft, rounded relief — good for bold block logos and a tactile, casual feel. High-density print gives a much sharper, taller, rubber-like edge, which is what makes it the only method here that can carry readable Braille alongside printed text.
No. The ink contains phosphors that absorb light during the day or under venue lighting and release it slowly as a soft green glow in darkness. That also means it is not the same thing as a fluorescent lanyard, which is simply a bright colour that reacts to UV but produces no light of its own.
Not with ink — long fibres swallow print. The logo goes on a woven label or a PVC or rubber patch sewn onto the strap, the way a garment is branded. Two versions exist: fully tubular fur, which is the fashion option, and a normal strap with fur sewn to the back, which is the warm one for winter sports and ski passes.
A metallic-look woven strap with standard printing is the cheapest way to get an upmarket appearance, from about EUR 0,69. Hot foil stamping, glitter overlay and applied silicone all cost noticeably more because they are extra production steps rather than a different ink.
From 100 pieces on most finishes, with roughly two to three weeks from approved artwork. Foil and silicone work carry their own setup charge per design, so the price gap between 100 and 500 pieces is larger here than on a plain printed lanyard.
