A round cord lanyard has one structural problem, and everything about this page follows from it: the cord is too narrow to print on. Solving that is the whole design exercise, and there are six different answers depending on how much you want to spend and how much the logo has to be seen.
What you get in return for the problem is a lanyard that is lighter, more comfortable over a long day, and does not look like event stock. That is why conferences and tech companies moved to cord in the first place.

Thickness is 0,6 or 0,7 cm. The difference is mostly feel: 0,7 cm is more substantial and shows a colour twist better. Colour can be single, two-tone or three-tone — woven from different coloured strands, which puts brand colours into the material at no print cost and is the cheapest upgrade available here.
A white cord can also be sublimation printed along its whole length with a full-colour pattern. Note that exact logo positioning cannot be guaranteed on a twisting cord, so this suits repeating patterns rather than a logo that has to land in one place.
A metal carabiner is the standard and the most durable. A safety breakaway is worth specifying anywhere with machinery, children or crowd pressure. An adjustable knot lets the wearer shorten the loop, which matters more on a cord than on a ribbon because there is no other way to adjust one — and a decorative contrast knot doubles as a design detail.
