Rainbow Pride Flags and Hand Fans

  • The two items a parade crowd holds above its head.
  • Flags in weather-resistant 170D polyester — colour survives sun and rain.
  • Folding hand fans do two jobs at once: visible from a distance, and cooling in June.
  • Both photograph well, which is most of what a parade item is for.
  • From EUR 1,99 at 100 pieces.

A parade is a visual event, and what it looks like in photographs afterwards is most of the return. That is decided by what people hold above their heads — which comes down to two items.

Flags and fans do different jobs

Most contingents order both, and for a good reason: the flags make the group visible from a distance, the fans keep people holding something for the whole route rather than for the first ten minutes.

Why 170D matters on a flag

170D is a heavier weather-resistant weave than the 170T used for bandanas, and it is chosen for a full outdoor day of sun and rain without the colour going flat. The difference is invisible on day one and obvious by the second event — which is the point, because flags get reused and bandanas do not.

Logo placement on a moving flag

This is the hardest surface in the range for a logo, because it is read at distance, in motion, against six competing colours. Give it a solid panel — a top corner or a band along one edge — and it works. Print it across the stripes and it will not be legible in a single photograph from the day.

Common questions

Flags or hand fans?

Flags are seen from a distance and in photographs — they are what makes a crowd read as a crowd. Hand fans are seen up close and are genuinely useful in June heat, which means people keep holding them rather than putting them down after the first block. A parade contingent that wants to be visible in the press photos orders flags; one that wants its people comfortable for three hours orders fans.

Will the flag colours survive outdoors?

Yes. 170D polyester is a weather-resistant weave chosen for exactly this: sun and rain over a full outdoor day without the colours going flat. It is a heavier fabric than the 170T used in bandanas, and the difference shows after the second event.

How big are the flags?

We quote hand-held sizes as standard, which is what a parade needs — large enough to read across a street, light enough to hold up for an hour. Larger pole and venue flags are available and are a different product; tell us the sight-lines and we will size it.

Do the hand fans fold?

Yes, on a sturdy frame, so they go into a pocket or bag between uses and come back out. That is what makes them last a whole event rather than being dropped after twenty minutes.

Can our logo be seen on a rainbow flag?

Only if it has its own space. Give it a solid panel — the top corner or a band along one edge — rather than printing it over the stripes. On a flag this matters more than anywhere else in the range, because it is being read at distance and in motion.

What is the minimum order?

From 100 pieces per item, about two to three weeks from approved artwork.
