Printed Ribbons for Packaging

  • Wide ribbons for larger parcels, narrow ones for gifts and bouquets.
  • Sublimation dyes the fibre, so brand colours match precisely and cannot rub off.
  • Turns plain packaging into an unboxing moment at a very low unit cost.
  • Retail, e-commerce, florists, hotels and corporate gifting.
  • From EUR 0,59 at 100 pieces.

The ribbon is the last thing a customer sees before they open the box and the first thing they see when it arrives. For a few cents it changes a parcel from a shipment into a package — which is a large return on a very small line in the packaging budget.

How it is printed matters

Sublimation Screen print
Colour sits Dyed into the fibre On the surface
Brand colour Precise across the whole palette Pantone matched, limited colour count
When tied Cannot crack Can crack at a tight knot
In transit Nothing to rub off Can mark a white box
Right for Full colour artwork, repeated patterns A simple wordmark at volume

The transit point is the one that catches people out: a screen-printed ribbon tied tightly against a pale box can transfer, and the parcel arrives looking damaged rather than dressed.

Two widths

Wide for parcels and larger boxes, where a narrow ribbon looks lost. Narrow for gifts, bouquets and small boxes. If you ship several box sizes, two widths of the same design cost very little more than one and make the whole range look considered rather than improvised.

Common questions

Why sublimation rather than ordinary printing?

Because the colour goes into the fibre instead of sitting on it. That means an exact match to a brand palette, no cracking when the ribbon is tied, and nothing that rubs off onto a white box in transit — which is the failure mode that ruins a printed ribbon and the package with it.

Which width should we order?

Wide ribbon for parcels and larger boxes, where a narrow one looks lost and does nothing for the presentation. Narrow ribbon for gifts, bouquets and small boxes. If you ship a range of sizes, two widths of the same design cost very little more than one and look considerably more deliberate.

Is a ribbon worth it on an e-commerce parcel?

It is one of the cheapest ways to change how an unboxing feels. The customer has already paid; the ribbon is the first thing they see, and it costs a fraction of what the packaging itself does. Brands that care about repeat purchase treat it as part of the product rather than as wrapping.

Can we print on both sides?

Yes with sublimation, and it is worth it on wider ribbons where the tail hangs and shows its back. On narrow gift ribbon the reverse is rarely visible enough to justify it.

What is the minimum order?

From 100 pieces, about two weeks from approved artwork. Ribbon is sold by length, so quote the roll length you need rather than a piece count if you are cutting it yourself.
