Bunting is not decoration, or at least it should not be bought as decoration. It is a pointing device: it marks out a zone and pulls attention to the space underneath it. That is why it works over a checkout, an entrance or a tasting table, and why it does very little strung along a blank wall.

A string of bunting goes up in minutes with no tools, and comes down as fast. For pop-up retail, roadshows and stands that are built and struck in a morning, that matters more than any print detail — and if it is taken down rather than yanked down, the same string works at the next event.
Permanent outdoor use. Weeks of wind and rain fade and fray it, and a tired string of bunting makes a space look neglected rather than dressed. For anything that lives outside, use a printed flag instead.

For an event, yes. For a permanent outdoor installation, no — sustained wind and rain will fade and fray it over weeks. If it needs to live outside, a printed flag or a mesh banner is the right product instead.
