Laser Engraved Glass Trophies

  • Two shapes: a 10 cm round plaque on a square base, or a 19 cm rectangular block.
  • 400 g and 690 g respectively — the weight is what makes it read as an award.
  • Laser engraved with logo, award title and recipient name.
  • Each trophy arrives in its own protective case, ready to hand over.
  • For recognition that lives on a desk rather than round a neck.

A glass trophy does a different job from a medal. Nobody wears it; it sits on a desk or a shelf, in an office, where colleagues see it. That changes the specification: weight and clarity matter more than colour, and the engraving has to carry a name and a reason rather than just a logo.

Engraving

Laser engraving produces a frosted white mark in the glass. It cannot reproduce colour, so a logo built from gradients or photographic elements has to be reduced to line art first — worth doing properly, because a simplified mark engraved cleanly looks far better than a complex one engraved muddily. Engraving is priced by area, so a logo costs less than a full citation.

Weight is the product

At 400 and 690 grams these are heavy for their size, and that is deliberate. Perceived value in an award tracks weight more closely than any other single property; a light acrylic award of the same dimensions costs less and is received as costing less. If the award is meant to mean something, the weight is not a detail to economise on.

Common questions

Which shape should we choose?

The circular plaque at 400 g is the everyday corporate award: it costs less, takes up less desk space and suits a logo with a line or two of text. The rectangular block at 19 cm and 690 g is the one that gets photographed on stage — noticeably heavier, with a much larger engraving area for a longer citation. Many programmes use the round one for monthly recognition and the rectangular one for the annual award.

How much text can we engrave?

On the circular plaque, a logo plus roughly two or three short lines. On the rectangular trophy, a logo plus a full citation — award title, recipient name, category and year — with room to spare. Engraving is priced by area, so a long citation costs more than a logo.

Is the engraving in colour?

No. Laser engraving works inside or on the surface of the glass and produces a frosted white mark. That is the whole aesthetic of a glass award, and it is also why a logo with fine gradients needs simplifying into line art before it reads well.

How are they packed?

Each trophy comes in its own protective case, which is the reason they survive being carried to a venue and handed over individually. It also means the award looks finished at the moment it changes hands, without extra packaging.

How fragile are they?

Thick glass is more robust than it looks, but it is glass: a fall onto a hard floor will chip or break it. Order a small surplus above the exact number of recipients, particularly if the trophies travel to a venue rather than being engraved and handed over on site.

What is the minimum order?

From 10 pieces, with about two weeks from approved artwork. There is no tooling, so a small order carries no penalty beyond the engraving setup.

Other awards

Custom medals with ribbons for anything with a tooled shape, gold, silver and bronze stock medals when there is no time for tooling, wooden medals for outdoor and eco-led events, laser engraved glass trophies for corporate awards, and velvet presentation boxes when the award is handed over one at a time. Also worth pairing: button badges and printed lanyards.
