Most of what is written about silicone wristbands is about how the logo goes on — debossed, embossed, printed. This page is about the band underneath that decision: how wide it is and what colour it is made of. Both are moulded in, both are decided before the artwork, and both constrain what the artwork can be.

Most artwork gets squeezed to fit 12 mm — the wordmark drops off, or the symbol shrinks past legibility. A 25 mm band is the same product with the constraint removed, and it is worth deciding on before the design rather than after.

Glow has one condition: the base colour has to be light. On a dark band there is not enough compound near the surface to read. White, pale green and pale blue perform; black disappoints. And glow is not the same as fluorescent — glow works in complete darkness with no light source, fluorescent needs UV. For a campsite, glow. For a club with blacklights, fluorescent.

12 mm is the standard and what people picture when they hear “silicone wristband”. 5 mm slim is subtler and reads as jewellery rather than as a campaign band, which suits corporate and awareness use. 25 mm is twice the standard surface: it is the only width where a full logo, an event name and a URL all fit without any of them shrinking to nothing. Decide this before the artwork, because the artwork has to be designed for it.

At 25 mm the logo can be the actual logo, symbol and wordmark together, with a second line for a date or a hashtag, or a sponsor alongside the organiser without either being reduced.
Three separate colour segments moulded together into one seamless band. It is not printed, so the colours cannot wear off, and the contrast reads from much further away than a single-colour band. Use it for brand colours, a flag, or a cause. A swirl version mixes the colours through the band instead of segmenting them.
It works, with one condition: the base colour has to be light. The glow compound is mixed into the silicone and charges under any light source, then releases a soft green glow in darkness. On a dark base band there is not enough compound near the surface to be visible. Choose a white, pale green or pale blue base and it performs; choose black and it will disappoint.
No. Glow in the dark stores light and releases it, so it works in complete darkness with no light source at all. Fluorescent is a bright colour that reacts to UV — brilliant under a blacklight, ordinary in a dark field. For a night festival with UV lighting, fluorescent. For a campsite, glow.
The material is 100% silicone and non-allergenic, and it is used widely for events for children. The consideration is not the material but the fit: a band loose enough to be comfortable can be pulled off and put in a mouth by a very young child, so specify a child size and supervise rather than assuming one size works.
From 100 pieces, about two to three weeks from approved artwork. Each width and each colour construction is its own mould setup, so mixing four widths in one small order costs more than choosing one.
