Every other silicone wristband carries its logo in the silicone — pushed in, pushed out, or printed on. This one does not: it carries a metal plate, laser engraved, mounted on a silicone strap. That changes what the object is. It stops being event stock and starts being something a person wears because they want to.
Laser engraving removes material instead of adding a layer. There is no ink to wear off, no colour fill to work loose and no raised edge to abrade — the mark is a physical cut in metal, and it will outlast the strap it is mounted on. It also reproduces fine detail that silicone moulding cannot: small text, thin lines, a full wordmark at readable size.
And because engraving is digital, every band can carry a different name, number or code at a small per-piece cost and no additional setup. That is why this format ends up on staff ID and membership schemes rather than at festival gates.
| Options | How to choose | |
|---|---|---|
| Plate material | Aluminium or stainless steel | Aluminium is lighter, cheaper and engraves to a bright silver mark — right for most orders. Steel is heavier and harder, for daily wear over years or as a gift where weight signals value. |
| Strap | Fixed size or adjustable | Adjustable unless you know the wrists: it removes size sorting at distribution entirely and is more comfortable for daily wear. Fixed is slightly cheaper and looks marginally cleaner. |
Not at a festival gate — at EUR 1,19 and up it costs three to four times a debossed band, and nobody needs an engraved plate to get through a turnstile. It earns its price on staff and member ID, leadership and training programmes, VIP and partner gifts, and healthcare or food environments where silicone and metal wash clean and fabric does not.
For volume access control, debossed silicone does the job at a fraction of the cost.
Because it is a different object. A debossed silicone band is event stock; a strap with an engraved metal plate is something people keep wearing after the event, and it survives being worn daily for years. If the band is going to five thousand festival-goers, this is the wrong product. If it is going to two hundred staff, a leadership programme or a VIP list, it is the right one.
Adjustable, unless you know the wrists. A fixed strap needs size sorting at distribution and someone always gets the wrong one. An adjustable strap fits everybody, which removes the sizing problem entirely and is also more comfortable for daily wear. Fixed is slightly cheaper and looks marginally cleaner.
Aluminium is lighter and cheaper, engraves to a bright silver mark, and is what most orders use. Stainless steel is heavier, harder and better where the band is worn every day for years or gets knocked about — it also feels more substantial, which for a gift is part of the point.
Yes. Laser engraving is digital, so a name, an employee number or a unique code on every plate costs a small amount per piece and no additional setup. That is the main reason this product exists for staff ID and membership schemes rather than for events.
No. Laser engraving removes material rather than adding a coating, so the mark is a physical cut in the metal. Printed and colour-filled bands lose their mark eventually; this does not. It is the most durable decoration on any wristband we sell.
Yes. Silicone is non-porous and washes clean, and the plate is metal. That combination is why the format turns up in healthcare and food environments where a fabric band would not be acceptable.
