2D or 3D? A flat 2D outline, such as a circuit map or a logo silhouette, needs a simpler mould and costs less. A 3D piece is modelled from every side and has more weight and detail in the hand. Choose 3D when the object itself is the gift.
Nickel or satin nickel? Nickel is bright and reflective. Satin nickel is brushed and softer, it hides fingerprints and makes engraving and enamel colours easier to read. The photo above shows both on the same casting.
