A microfibre suede towel is bought for the print, not for the pile. The suede finish has no loops, so a sublimated image lands on a flat surface and holds fine detail — photographs, gradients, sponsor artwork running to the edge. A terry towel cannot do that; its texture breaks the image up. Every other property of this towel follows from that one decision.
50×70 cm is the hand size: gym bag, locker, race giveaway, and the cheapest way to get full-colour artwork into circulation in volume. 50×100 cm is the classic gym towel that goes over a shoulder or a machine. 70×140 cm is a full bath size for hotels, spas and premium team kit. 80×160 cm is the beach towel — the one people photograph and lie on, and the one worth the higher unit cost when the artwork is the point. The rule of thumb for sponsorship: at 50×70 the design is seen by the person who owns it, at 80×160 it is seen by everyone around them.
The print is full-surface digital, and single-sided is the norm — the right call when the towel lies flat, hangs, or is folded with the design out. Double-sided is worth paying for in one specific situation: when the towel is worn or draped and both faces are in view, such as pool decks, stadium stands and hospitality boxes. It roughly doubles the visible area and it is usually what separates merchandise people buy from merchandise you hand out.
Suede microfibre is thin, dries fast, packs small and shakes sand off, which is why it travels well and why sports clubs like it. It is not a thick bathroom towel, and a buyer expecting the weight of hotel terry will notice immediately. If bulk absorbency matters more than the image, order a different product. Buy this one when the artwork has to be sharp.
